A special welcome goes out to Serena, Chad and the others from the Vancouver Browncoats Firefly Group. During this Gathering we showed:

This Gathering was not without its technical glitches though. From audio problems to changing to a different laptop to again changing to a DVD player and then the DVD player not wanting to eject the final dvd (borrowed!), we managed to pull it off. We didn't have Mike there to help out due to a personal matter, so we were trying to fix things on the fly. With some help from our friends (excuse me John, George, Paul and Ringo) in the audience, we managed to get through it okay.
MC Dennis Kristos arrived a bit late today, so I, John F. did the greeting. The shared food table was excellent as it was at the previous Gathering, and there was lots for all of the again 25 people who showed up. It was great to see Karry Eilers again who has been attending our Gatherings for many years. Many thanks to Serena from the Firefly group for the picture!. Also, many thanks to listmember Ms Dagni Lund, Assistant to the Chair, Department of Physics, Simon Fraser University for supplying us with name labels for the first time so we would all know who was who:)
