As seen on Space the Imagination Station, in its pilot episodes, Commander’s Log is a kooky, quirky sci-fi comedy for television. Commander Craig-Scott, a laundry and morale officer, is thrust into command of his industrial space ship, when four of the senior officers die. He and his second in command, Chief Blather, attempt to solve many problems of the ship by applying laundry techniques. In Episodes 3 and 4, they are either hindered or helped by characters such as Commander Bastaard and Dr. Patsey. The stories, (50 years in the future,) are told through the Commander’s daily reports to the Global Space Command, back on Earth.

Below is a sampling of audience reaction to Commander’s Log, taken from Cascadia-Con:
“Wonderful! Very entertaining, with a refreshing premise…A wonderful, cleverly scripted combination of comedy, sf and adventure. Original.” Nina Munteanu, (Sci-Fi author of such books as "Collision with Paradise" published by Liquid Silver Books: "An unforgettable read that's immensely alluring, surprising, and heart-throbbing." -- Christine F. Whitcher, Yet Another Book Review Site. )
“In an era when special effects dominate too many weak scripts, in blockbuster productions, Bowlsby proves that good writing and good acting lie at the heart of comedy.” Lynda Williams, (Author, with Alison Sinclair, of The Courtesan Prince, Throne Price, and Righteous Anger, published by Edge Science Fiction.)

TWO NEW EPISODES
The two new episodes currently in post production are called "Enter the Commie" and "Silent Running." "Enter the Commie" introduces a new antagonist, Lieutenant-Commander Bastaard, of the Commerce Corps, who feels he should be running the ship. (Played by Greg Anderson.) Commander Craig-Scott gets sucked into his challenges because he feels he has to do everything by the book. In "Silent Running" Bastaard insists he should go down to a planet surface to claim its tradmark, but he returns with a mysterious illness. A new character, Doctor Patsey, (played by Michael Roberds), helps to deal with it. Parts of these episodes were shot in the H.R. Macmillan Space Centre in Vancouver. Stay tuned for more info on upcoming episodes.
